Asia Cup schedule finalised, India not going to Pakistan: BCCI
New Delhi, on July 12th.
The India-Pakistan cricket matches of the Asia Cup will happen in Sri Lanka because the team led by Rohit Sharma will not go to Pakistan. This was confirmed by Arun Dhumal, the chairman of the IPL.
Dhumal, who is currently in Durban for a meeting, confirmed that BCCI secretary Jay Shah and PCB representative Zaka Ashraf met before the ICC Board meeting on Thursday to finalize the schedule.
Our secretary met with Zaka Ashraf, the head of PCB. They discussed and finalized the schedule for the Asia Cup, and everything is going according to plan as agreed before. There will be four games in Pakistan and nine games in Sri Lanka for the league stage. This includes the games between India and Pakistan and if they reach the finals, there might be a third game. Dhumal shared this information from Durban.
He dismissed reports from Pakistan media that India will visit their country because their sports minister Ehsan Mazari had been saying so in some places.
“There was no talk about that. ” India and our secretary are not going to Pakistan, even though there are reports saying otherwise. Dhumal said that only the schedule was completed.
India will most likely play against Pakistan in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, just like they did in 2010.
Pakistan will play their only home match in their own country against weakest team Nepal.
The other three matches are Afghanistan against Bangladesh, Bangladesh against Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka against Afghanistan. Please rephrase this text using simpler words:
