Australian batter Steve Smith reveals he picked up wrist injury during Lord’s Test

Melbourne, on August 22nd.
Australian cricketer Steve Smith has admitted that he had an injury to his wrist during the Ashes series, which started after the Lord’s Test.
The 34-year-old hurt a tendon in his left wrist while playing in a cricket match at Lord’s. He had scored 110 runs in the first part of the match.
I did it at a place called Lord’s. I don’t remember when exactly it happened, but it was while we were in the field. Smith said to ‘Fox Cricket’ that it wasn’t until that night when he realized that he had made a mistake and it was a bit painful.
I played the game after that, and I got a cortisone shot before going to Old Trafford. I came back to Australia and I felt like something was still not okay. I still struggle to do many things correctly.
I had another test. There was a tiny rip in the tendon and a few other problems.
Australia won the first two games and seemed likely to win the Ashes series in England for the first time since 2001. But the hosts made a great comeback to tie the rubber.
Smith said he was a little disappointed, even though his team won the Ashes.
I believed that we had everything we needed to go there and win, and we were not happy with just tying the series again. Clearly, we did the same thing before.
“We really wanted to win and perform even better, but we couldn’t achieve that. ” Smith has an injury that needs a splint for the next few weeks, so he won’t be able to play in the upcoming white-ball tour in South Africa.
Smith, who only played in one match during last year’s T20 World Cup, was scheduled to be the first batsman in the T20 matches in South Africa. He played very well for the Sydney Sixers in last season’s Big Bash League.
The old captain wanted to secure his position in the shortest format of the sport and had his sights set on the T20 World Cup next year.
I talked to Andrew McDonald, the Australian coach, about it. He said I would have more chances in another place to argue my point. It’s like the perfect job. Everyone wants to be the first one to bat in T20 matches.
“There isn’t much responsibility or oversight, you just go out and play without much supervision. ” You have two players placed on the field for the first six overs. If you start playing well, you will still be playing when the fielders are moved away, making it a good time to bat.
