Election Commission sets up online portal for parties to file financial statements
The Election Commission has created an online platform for registered political parties to file their financial statements, including contribution reports, audited annual accounts and poll expenditure statement, in an effort to promote transparency. The ‘Integrated Election Expenditure Monitoring System’ is part of the poll panel’s “3C strategy” of cleaning up, cracking down and compliance to enhance transparency and accountability in political funding and expenditure.
