Hockey: India women beat England 6-2, finish third in Junior 4 Nations Tournament

The Indian junior women’s hockey team won a game against England with a score of 6-2. This victory helped them secure the third position in the 4 Nations Tournament in Dusseldorf 2023.
In India’s game, Neelam scored in the 25th minute, Annu scored in the 26th and 43rd minutes, Sunelita Toppo scored in the 35th minute, Hina Bano scored in the 38th minute, and Mumtaz Khan scored in the 40th minute.
England scored two goals in the match. The first goal was scored by Claudia Swain at the 16th minute, and the second goal was scored by Charlotte Bingham at the 54th minute.
In the beginning of the game, both teams started off quickly. India was trying to score a goal to be in the lead, but by the end of the first quarter, the score was the same for both teams, 0-0, because they both defended well.
India began the second quarter with success. But, England used the chance and Swain scored their first goal.
But India fought back strongly and successfully attacked which earned them a penalty corner. Neelam scored a goal from a penalty corner, which helped India to tie the game.
Annu, who scored a goal against Spain on Tuesday, scored another goal for India to give them a 2-1 lead at halftime.
India, feeling very sure of themselves, wanted to increase their advantage in the third quarter. Sunelita Toppo successfully scored a penalty corner to increase the lead to 3-1.
Hina Bano scored another point to help her team win against England. Mumtaz Khan and Annu scored goals for India to make the score 6-1.
India was trying to score more points, but England scored first with a field goal from Bingham.
