India announces 15-member squad for cricket World Cup; Prasidh Krishna, Tilak Varma fail to make the cut
On September 5th, in Pallekele
Wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, who may not be fit, was chosen for India’s 15-member World Cup team. The selectors also picked seven batsmen and four all-rounders for the tournament.
Rahul hasn’t been able to play for several months because he hurt his hamstring. He is in the Asia Cup, but he has not played in a game yet. His return was postponed because he had a small injury before the Asia Cup.
“We had a few problems with the players’ physical condition, but now all three of them have returned. ” KL looks nice. The chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, said that we believe this team is well-balanced for the World Cup.
KL looked really good there but got a small injury right before the Asia Cup. He managed to move on from it. He is a valuable player for us and we are glad to have him.
Hardik Pandya was given the role of vice captain for the team.
