Mitchell Starc looking forward to IPL return after 8 years
Sydney on September 7th.
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is expected to play in the IPL for the first time since 2015. He has chosen to enter the auction for the 2024 edition.
The left-arm fast bowler has chosen to play for the national team more than the IPL. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore for two seasons, with the most recent one being in 2015.
Starc thinks it’s a good idea to play in the IPL before the T20 World Cup next year.
“It has been eight years. ” “I will definitely return next year,” Starc said in an interview with the ‘Willow Talk’ cricket podcast.
It’s a good way to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Alright, this is a chance to find out if anyone is interested in the IPL. After that, we can talk about the T20 World Cup. And next year’s winter will be relatively quiet compared to this winter. This gives me a great chance to make a name for myself.
Starc, who has played for Australia in 82 matches, wants to keep playing well enough to reach 100 games for his country.
I don’t just want to play 100 Tests, I want to be so good that I am chosen to play in 100 Tests. And then in a few weeks, there is the World Cup, and it becomes even more exciting in India.
“And then when you think about the one-day format, there is a gap of four years between World Cups. So, where do I think I will be in that time. But first, I need to finish this World Cup. ”
Starc said that there are some really talented young players in the national team who are going to become superstars. You have Jhye Richardsons, Sean Abbotts, and Spencer Johnsons.
“You have a lot of young men coming up. ” Lance Morris is going to become a professional shooter.
He said that he doesn’t want to think too much about the future, but he’s hopeful about doing well in the 50-over World Cup in India.
“I will be playing five Test matches in Australia. I haven’t played a Test match in New Zealand yet, so I hope to be part of that tour and I’m excited for the challenge. “
