New Zealand are set to visit Scotland for two T20Is and solitary ODI in July this year, the host board has reported. All the matches will be played at Grange in Edinburgh on July 27, 29 and 31.

New Zealand and Scotland last met each other in the T20 World Cup in the UAE, when the Kane Williamson-drove side won notwithstanding a vivacious show from Scotland.

“We are eager to invite the BLACKCAPS to our shores this mid year. We need to continue to challenge ourselves versus ICC Full Members and New Zealand are up there as truly outstanding,” Scotland Men’s Head Coach Shane Burger said.

“Having reached both of the latest T20 and 50 over ICC world cup finals, they have shown to be the most predictable group across all configurations of the game as of late.

“We have 12 global ODI’s to be played before the New Zealand series thus the crew are preparing great and anticipating an occupied 2022.”

New Zealand lead trainer Gary Stead said: “It will be an incredible event for the BLACKCAPS to visit Scotland. Throughout the most recent ten years we’ve seen Scotland improve as a cricketing country and form into a power in global cricket.

“Having played there by and by myself at Brechin Cricket Club, I know how energetic individuals are about the game and I have no question they will be anxiously anticipating this visit. Playing against partner groups as a significant country is a truly significant piece of assisting them with developing and that development can help the world game long haul.”
