Sri Lanka to play two T20 Warm-ups vs Oman as preparation for T20 World Cup.
Sri Lanka will play two warm-up T20 matches against Oman ahead of the pack up to their World Cup crusade that starts on October 18, Sri Lanka Cricket affirmed on Thursday (September 9). UAE and Oman are co-facilitating the rescheduled 2021 release of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup that was initially scheduled for last year in India.
The Sri Lankan group is predicted to withdraw for Oman on October 3 and can play two games against the hosts as extra arrangement, on October 7 and 9 individually. Post that, Sri Lanka have two authority practice games booked on October 12 and 14.

“We are hoping to play however many games as would be prudent driving into the World Cup in comparative conditions the group will insight in the UAE. The games against Oman and therefore the 2 ICC practice games will permit us this opportunity ,” said SLC CEO Ashley de Silva.
Sri Lanka, alongside Bangladesh, didn’t qualify straightforwardly for the Super 12 of the marquee occasion and will contend with the six groups who’ve gotten it done through the Qualifiers in Round 1 from where just four groups would advance. Sri Lanka are set close by Netherlands, Ireland and Namibia in Group A for this round.

The island country will take on Namibia first, on October 18 at Abu Dhabi and afterward Ireland on the twentieth, prior to moving to Sharjah for their last installation against Netherlands on October 22.
