On Sunday, NCP leader Sharad Pawar said that a decision would have to be made concerning those who defied the party’s wishes and joined the Eknath Shinde government, including Ajit Pawar and other members. Earlier in the day, Ajit Pawar had been sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister, and eight other NCP MLAs were given ministerial positions.
